How is effective expiry calculated?

Paoira uses the earliest available limit: printed expiry, or opened date plus the package’s PAO/custom limit. A visible category default may be used when PAO is unavailable. Confirm every date yourself.

Does a barcode contain expiry?

Usually not. Retail barcodes normally identify a trade item, not one manufactured unit. Scanning never makes a recognized value authoritative.

Why did expiry change after opening?

Opening starts the PAO countdown. If that limit arrives before printed expiry, it becomes effective expiry and reminders are rescheduled.

Where are records and photos?

In private application storage on your device. There is no Paoira account or developer-accessible copy. Explicit exports are controlled by you.

Notifications are missing

Enable notifications in device settings. Battery-saving modes and platform scheduling policies may delay them. Never rely on a notification as the only expiry record.
